WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIPS PROJECT

The Burnett Group has been involved with the Australian Round of the WRC since it began on the Coffs Coast.

A large and varied number of jobs are undertaken to ensure the rally route and facilities are at the required standard. We undertake road repairs in many remote forest locations and provide temporary vehicle bridges and plumbing at the Coffs Harbour International Stadium to name a few. Read on to discover the SSS project.

SSS - The current DNSW SSS held at the Coffs Harbour Jetty alongside the harbour boasts many elements the Burnett Group are involved with. Some of these include;

   > Construction of artificial sand dunes

   > Construction of jump/s

   > Construction of a large concrete berm complete with barriers, concrete surface & drainage

   > Supply and transport of concrete barriers lining the circuit

   > Construction and transport of shipping container pedestrian bridge over track

   > Installation & transport of grandstands

   > Supply of 400 square haybales used to delineate the circuit

   > Various road surfacing projects

   > Installation of a dust suppression system to increase spectator enjoyment

   > Transport and installation of wire screens fixed to concrete barriers

   > Remediation of selected areas post event

   > Transport to and from site of all road materials used to construct various elements

All facets of the build are required to be constructed within a tight time frame regardless of weather or external influences. The experience of the crew ensures we exceed all deadlines.

We look forward to working with the Rally Australia team on their upcoming events.
